Pilates Mat Classes
Mat classes are comprised of a series of exercises performed on a mat using your own body as resistance. This is a non-impact workout that can be performed and modified for all fitness levels. The use of props such as flex bands, fitness rings, foam rollers, BosuTM, and arc barrels may also be used to vary or enhance your workout.
We offer open mat classes at an essential, intermediate and advanced level.
We also specialize in offering you Pilates mat based classes fused with more traditional workout methods. We continue to maintain the integrity of all Pilates principles to enhance your workout.
Pilates Equipment Classes
The most common equipment class on our schedule is the group reformer class. The reformer is the most commonly used piece of Pilates equipment. The workout is based on spring resistance. While working with resistance the body's muscular system is challenged differently than in a mat class. The development of lean musculature and better postural awareness are just a couple of the varied benefits to reformer training. Prior experience on a reformer is highly recommended prior to attending a group reformer class.
Other equipment classes include the reformer jumpboard and equipment circuit which includes use of our wall towers and stability chairs.
