Injuries and Special Populations Course (ISP)

Learn to customize workouts to address weaknesses, health conditions, postural problems or injuries (but not to diagnose specific injuries). Topics covered in this lecture/demonstration class include:

  • Approaches to rehabilitating an injured musculoskeletal system
  • Anatomy and biomechanics, dysfunctions and pathologies, and exercise modifications in the:  limbo-pelvic, cervical, upper quadrant, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankel and foot regions.
  • Pregnancy, fibromyalgia and other special conditions plus workout design
  • Appropriate modification of mat work, reformer, cadillac, stability chair and barrel exercises.
Pre-requisites:
  • IMP or IR
Duration:
  • 6 hours instruction over 4 days
CEC's:
  • 2.4 STOTT PILATES, ACE
Required Course Material:
  • 2 Mauals: ISP Resource Guide, Injuries and Special Populations
  • 2 DVD's:  Back Care Repertoire, Spinal, Pelvic and Scapular Stabilization with Reformer & Vertical Frame
Dates & Times:
  • July 12-15.  Thursday-Saturday 11:30-6 and Sunday 9-3:30
Cost:
  • $950 total course fee.  Pay Now.
  • $150 deposit required for all students not paying in full by May 1st.  Pay Deposit HERE.  Final payment is due no later than June 15th.
  • $350 audit fee for this course.  Audit fee is only for students that have previously attended the ISP course.
